Harrogate Decking Installation Complete

When people hear about Northern Deckline they may just think that we supply decking, but we do offer several different design and installation solutions for the garden that can be fitted as a package. A great example of this was a project we finished just before Christmas in Harrogate.

A family had recently had a conservatory built at the rear of their property, which then led to a concrete driveway. They wanted some decking installing around the rear and one side of the conservatory, and also some ornamental balustrade around the edge of the decking to act as a fence and also to include a gate.

As you can see from the photos above, at the rear of the conservatory (on the left) and at the side (on the right) the photos show a significant drop which would need levelling off with a timber frame to allow the decking to be installed, and we were also required to remove one row of paving slabs (see photo below from the other end of the garden).

Removing the row of slabs allowed us to have more room to construct the timber supports for the sub-frame and very soon we were able to build the decking on top. The customer opted for a slate grey PVC decking, which is durable and hard-wearing but looks fantastic with a wood grain effect.

While we were installing the decking the customer also had the breeze blocks of the conservatory walls plastered and coated, and the end effect works really well with the decking, as you can see from the photos below.
